Welcome

Building relationshipsRed Dog Solutions has been helping dogs and their people form cooperative relationships for over 10 years. We love dogs and we enjoy watching that love develop in others as they learn how to train their canine companions with compassion and common sense.

NEW CLASSES starting in October!
Intro to Rally Obedience
Agility Fun

We do not train with pain or intimidation. We train with a solid understanding of learning principles, environmental management, lots of patience and plenty of rewards! We believe that understanding how your dog thinks and what is important to him is vitally important just as it is in any relationship! We do not believe that dogs are trying to take over the world when they jump up on us, pull on leash or even growl! They are just being dogs and it is up to us humans to help them express their needs in more appropriate ways!

MAY I COME AND LIVE WITH YOU????

Hi, my name is Raleigh and I am looking for a new home. My original owner got me as a puppy from North Carolina (that is why I have the name Raleigh ☺ ) when I was about 8 weeks old.  We think my birthday is Oct. 19, 2009. I am a Red Doberman mix, and weigh about 45 pounds. My coloring is very much like that of a deer. I am beautiful with adorable eyes.

Here is my story:

My original owner was 22 years old, just out of college and really looking forward to having her first dog (ME). But, when she took me to her new apartment, the people down stairs were not very happy with my puppy energy and REALLY complained. I had to leave the apartment (which broke my owners heart), but I came to live with my owners parents.

My “grandparents” have been very good to me, I have grown up a lot, learned some new tricks (sit, lie down, Look, walk, etc). I have taken a few private lessons to learn “clicker training” and I am a very fast learner.

I do still get nervous in new situations, for example, meeting new people or new dogs, but I really DO want to be social, it is just that I am a bit afraid of new things.

I have mellowed a lot now that I am a big girl of 9 mos. old.

I am crate trained, (and even go in by myself a lot when I am tired). I am learning how to walk nicely on a leash and you would be very proud of me! Cars whizzing by and people on bikes still scare me a bit and I sometimes bark. My clicker has been helpful in these circumstances.
I love to play out side, chase balls, and figure out puzzles. I have taught my self how to pick up two tennis balls at once and I am working on three!!!
I am cuddly with those I know, and very affectionate.
I am very healthy, and have been spayed and I have all of my shots.

If I could pick a place of my dreams I would like to live with

  • someone who has already had dogs and understands their behaviors and needs
  • someone who is willing to take me to some more classes so that I can learn even more about how to greet other people and dogs
  • some one who will give me exercise and mental stimulation (I am very smart!!)
  • someone who has space for me to play
  • and most of all…. Someone who will LOVE ME!!

Please contact my “grand parents” at 802-775-1725 and ask for Dardy or Tom Pour
